Hey guys! Sorry for the late post.
I got this
feeling, after the dinner with Bunny, that something horrible is going to
happen really soon. Any of you feeling the atmosphere has changed since Bunny
“betrayed” our character and then they went to that odd house. Something is
telling me that everything is going to turn out even worse than I thought from
the first time. What do you think?
Another of
my thoughts is around all the alcohol they use all the time and if there is any
link between their behavior and the addiction of alcohol? I was not in school
today so I don’t know what you did and maybe someone wants to tell me what you
did in class?

I would agree with you. I think the dinner scene and the aftermath of that gave some insight into Bunny's character and moral, but it also said something about who Richards is based on the fact that he did not make a big deal about it nor did he really get upset at Bunny. Furthermore I think that the car ride home that Richard had with Henry afterwards also gave an impression of the attitude that the group had towards Bunny and his "ways".
SvaraRaderaWhen it comes to the alcohol, they do seem to drink a lot even if the story does stretch for quite a long period of time. On page 243 Richard admits: "Charles did drink a lot. We all did: but still, though he didn't indulge in any very conspicuous excess." So it seems they, or at least Richard perhaps because he came in as an outsider, realize that they do drink quite a bit. On the same page Richard also brings up the fact that, in this case he is referring to Charles in particular, his drinking can be understandable considering what they did (you might not have come that far). Apart from this it might also have to do with the romanticizing of alcohol throughout history, especially among the elite. And since they seem to have a adapted a way of speaking which seems more old-fashioned and not very modern they might have wanted to do the same with the way that they live as well, alcohol consumption included.
